A recent survey conducted by the Tampa Bay Times asked local residents to name their top places of employment. Dimmitt Chevrolet placed in the top five among small companies as one of the Top 100 Places to Work in Tampa Bay. The dealership credits its longstanding philosophy of “hiring for attitude and training for skill” as one of the major reasons why employees give it such high marks in terms of workplace satisfaction.

The newspaper invited more than 1,200 local companies to participate in their sixth annual survey of the area’s top workplaces; which was conducted in partnership with Workplace Dynamics, a national company that specializes in conducting benchmarked employee surveys. One hundred eighty-four companies were surveyed, with questionnaires being sent to more than 48,000 employees. The survey was broken into large, midsize, and small categories based on the number of employees. There were a total of 50 companies in the “small” business category, which had the largest number of businesses.
