It’s a festive time of year, and here in Clearwater and St.
Pete the excitement is building for the upcoming holiday season. There are
plenty of fun-filled events throughout the area that will help you and your
family get into the holiday spirit. So to help you plan your activities this
December, we’ve put together our list of ten fun holiday events for you and
your family to enjoy.

- Busch Gardens Tampa Christmas Town – Through 12/31. Now included with your park admission, this holiday family favorite features a million lights, special holiday shows, Mrs. Claus’ Family Feast, and a visit by St. Nick himself.
- St. Pete Illuminated Boat Parade – 12/13, Vinoy Basin. A spectacular parade of brightly lighted boats of all shapes and sizes.
- Bowzer’s Holiday Party – 12/20, Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 N. McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater. Sha Na Na’s zany front man Bowzer, with special guests Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits and Gary Puckett of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, will perform.
- Seasonal Sparkle – 12/21-22 at The Palladium, 253 Fifth Avenue, N., St. Pete. The St. Petersburg Opera Chorus and 40-piece orchestra perform holiday favorites.
- Winter Wonderland – Through 12/21, Downtown Clearwater at Drew St. and Ft. Harrison Ave. Enjoy a Christmas village sparkling with thousands of lights, plus live entertainment, Santa and Mrs. Claus, pony and train rides, and more.
- A Christmas Carol – Through 12/24, Enjoy Dickens’ classic tale of Christmas Past, Present, and Future with this delightful musical adaptation at the freeFall Theatre Company, 6099 Central Ave., St. Pete.
- Don CeSar Gingerbread House Event – 12/18. Now in its 20th year, this annual event at Loews Don CeSar Hotel benefits the American Red Cross.
- Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl – 12/26 at Tropicana Field. ESPN Events hosts this annual college football bowl game with a new conference affiliation between the ACC and the American Athletic Conference.
- Outback Bowl Beach Day – 12/30 at the Hillton Clearwater Beach Resort, St. Pete. Marching bands, cheerleaders, live music, skydivers, team players, and more kick off this exciting college bowl extravaganza.
- Swingin’ the New Year – 12/31 at the Coliseum, St. Pete. Turn back the clock and swing in the New Year with a live 20-piece All Star Big Band. Event includes a Midnight balloon drop, party favors, and prize giveaways. Vintage fashion attire is highly encouraged.
